Tough Jobs, Easy Cleaning

Posted on August 10, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Cleaning some things can be a pain.

There are many things that needs to be cleaned around the apartment that I absolutely DREAD cleaning when it’s time to do it.  Take the light fixture for instance; who wants to clean the bugs out of a light? Sometimes, I’d rather let them stay there.

Eventually, I’d have to clean it out, so I wanted to find some easy cleaning tips for some of the most used items, gadgets and furniture around the house.  Luckily, I stumbled over realsimple.com and found solutions to my worst cleaning “nightmares.” Here’s a few that I’d like to share with you:

  • When your heat and air vents need cleaning: Pull your baseball caps out for this one. If you have high vents and radiators, find the longest duster on a stick that you can.  Or, if you have a long enough hose on your vacuum, use the crevice tool to get most of the dust. Use the duster for any additional build-up.
  • When you’re cleaning out the toaster: Tired of smelling the burning of already burnt toast? It’s time for a cleaning! And it’s really simple; unplug it and remove the crumb tray.  Dump the crumbs in the trash.  Wash the tray and rack in warm sudsy water. Rinse and dry. Replace the rack/tray and wala! It’s just like new!

There’s more where that came from!  Find out how to clean more items like these at your apartment from realsimple.com…. your Bogey Hills’ apartment will look as it looked the day you moved in!
